This book was written by William A. Albaugh III and Edward N. Simmons, republished in 1993, the narrative is 277 pages and is illustrated with black and white photos. This comprehensive book covers nearly everything a Confederate soldier touched or used during four long years of war. It has plenty of black and white photos and illustrations of such items as revolvers, rifles, muskets, carbines, swords, knives, bayonets, pikes, belt plates, buckles, buttons, insignia and a myriad of other Confederate made or used items. There is also a makers directory at the back of the book that lists not only makers, but gunsmiths and dealers of military items and their locations. This book is the centerpiece of most Civil War Confederate reference libraries. This hard back book is in very good condition, with a dust cover in good condition.
