Edo Period Brocade Bag

This is an Edo period brocade bag for a Samurai sword. It is a traditional silk brocade bag made of kimono fabric and measures 37 1/2" in length and 5 1/2" wide. The length of the bag seems to indicate it was used with a Wakizashi and not a katana. The bag is in excellent condition and shows no damage what so ever. The cord does have a couple of small frayed spots, but still displays well.
