This is a pair of US Army boots used during the Korean War era. They are made of cordovan brown leather and are a size 9 1/2 regular. These boots were issued and show honest wear, yet remain in very good condition. The soles and heels have been replaced with a modern style made by Vibram. There are hand written markings on the inside of both boots that have been marked out with white paint. The overall appearance of the boots is good. These boots have 11 eyelets and both have period correct brown laces. On the outside of each boot, to the wearers inside, the boots are stamped with the size 10 1/2 R and the letters GT within a square. Each sole has the makers label stamp of Vibram within a yellow block. The leather uppers remain very supple and smooth, the soles and heels are securely attached. While this pair of Korean War era boots have had modern soles and heels added to them, they still display well and would look great on a mannequin.
