WWI US Model 1918 Uniform 82nd Division

This is a US Model 1918 style winter uniform worn by the US Army during World War I. I believe this is a private purchase uniform as there are no makers labels or inspector tags anywhere. It features the four pocket design with epaulets. The five button coat has the subdued US eagle buttons, with six smaller buttons of the same type for the pockets and epaulets. The coat size buttons are back marked "L.A. Myers, Jr. Inc. NEWARK N.J.". The smaller buttons are all back marked "CITY BUTTON WORKS N.Y.". The coat is fully lined and has one inner pocket. There are no stamped or hand written names anywhere inside the tunic. The left sleeve has an 82nd Division patch sewn on. A red discharge stripe is sewn on below the 82nd patch. Above the left sleeve cuff are two gold chevrons of bullion, indicating one year of overseas service. The left collar disc shows a US over the regimental number 328. The right disc is the standard US. There are no ribbons pinned above the left breast pocket. The right sleeve has the chevrons of a Corporal sewn on it. There is no damage to the tunic caused by insects. The trousers are from the Philadelphia Depot of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Quarter Master Depot tag is sewn on the back side of the right front pocket, and shows the contract date of Aug 24, 1917. The trousers are in excellent condition, with no damage or stains of any kind. This is a nice example of a US Model 1918 uniform worn by a member of the 82nd "All American" Division. It displays well on a mannequin and will look great in any war room!
