Vietnam Era US Model 1961 Field Pack

This is a US Model 1961 field pack from the Vietnam era. This is the pack that replaced the Model 1956 "Butt Pack". The Model 1961 filed pack is slightly larger than the former Model 1956, and offered better protection from the elements due to design improvements. The pack could be worn on the pistol belt by means of ALICE clips and attaching the suspenders to the top eyelets of the reverse of the pack. It could also be worn higher on the back by attaching the pack adapter harness to the suspenders. The US stamp on the outer flap is very clear, as well as the ink stamps on the inside of the flap. All stitching, eyelets, buckles, clips and straps are still present. This will make a nice addition to any Vietnam War collection, or could be very useful in your Vietnam impression.
