Relic Condition Civil War Period Pattern 1863 Scabbard
Item #: WR931
This is a 7 rivet Pattern 1863 scabbard used during the Civil War in relic condition. The leather is still in good condition, with the normal amount of crazing for a piece of 160 year old leather. The frog is still securely attached, but the tip is missing. I can find no cartouche stamped on the frog. This is a good example of a relic condition late war scabbard that was used on the .58 caliber rifled muskets used during the Civil War. If you have a tip and a couple of pins you even restore this one.
