Non Excavated Confederate General & Staff Officer Button

This is a Confederate General Officer and General Staff Officer's button from the American Civil War. It is in great condition, showing an aged, golden patina on the face and still a little bright back side. This brass coat size button is of a two piece design with a border and measures 19.18 mm. This particular button is listed in Albert's book as CS 5 (4). There are no nicks or any other damage with this button. The shank is still present and standing tall. There back is maker marked "S&K RIVET'D & SOLDERED under a coat of arms". This type of button came through the Union blockade from England. This is an iconic piece that easily identifies with the American Civil War in excellent condition.
