WWII US Six Pocket Tool Roll

This is a US six pocket tool roll from the World War II period. This light weight canvas tool roll measures 17 1/2" wide and 15" tall. It has two pockets that are 4" wide, two that are 3" wide, one that is 1 1/2" and one that is 2" wide. There is one small tag sewn onto the canvas that simply reads U.S. GOVERNMENT MATERIAL. Stenciled in the upper left corner of the tool roll is a laundry number, S3569. I have not been able to identify what this tool roll is for, but I believe it was used as part of a small arms repair kit, or some other specialty repair kit. It is in good condition and displays well.
