This is a copy of the German magazine "Signal" with a date of 2 May, 1941. It was an important biweekly magazine that specifically targeted audiences in neutral, allied and occupied countries. Used as an illustrated photo journal and Army propaganda tool, it was founded in April, 1940. The magazine was published by Ullstein Verlag and had an outstanding print quality for it's time, as well as several color photographs, very unusual for the time. This 47 page magazine features stories on the Battle of the Atlantic, fighting the British in North Africa, other military operations, battles, advertisements and cartoons. The front cover features a picture of Field Marshall Erwin Marshall. This magazine is complete and is in fair condition. The front and back covers are detached but still present, there is some damage from water staining, just a couple of small tears along the edges of the paper and some yellowing from age. The magazine is full of great photographs. This will make a great addition to any personal effects or camp display.
