This is an edition of The China Lantern newspaper with a date of 29 July, 1945. It is a weekly American military newspaper that reports on matters concerning the United States Armed forces and their communities, primarily those serving in the China India Burma theater. The paper was printed three times a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This newspaper, Volume 4 Number 4, is four pages. The 4 page paper featured stories on current military operations, battles, news and sports from the home front and the ever popular military and political cartoons. This paper is complete and is in fair condition. There is no damage from staining, just a couple of small tears along the edges of the paper and some yellowing from age. The newspaper is full of great photographs and articles from every theater of operations. This will make a great addition to any personal effects or camp display from the CBI theater.
