This is a copy of the German magazine "Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung" with a date of 12 November, 1942. It was a weekly illustrated magazine published in Berlin from 1892 to 1945. It was the first mass market German magazine and pioneered the format of the illustrated news magazine. This 12 page magazine features stories on the fighting partisans, Field Marshall Rommel, German sniper operations, desert fighting with the British, advertisements and cartoons. The front cover features a picture of a three German infantryman of the Mountain troops with snow white camouflage uniforms training in the mountains. This magazine is complete and is in rough condition. The front and back covers are detached, there are multiple small tears along the edges of the paper and some staining from water damage. The entire magazine shows yellowing from age. The magazine is full of great photographs. This will make a great addition to any personal effects or camp display.
