This is an edition of the New York Times, a newspaper serving the New York City, New York area. It is a Tuesday edition and is dated 20 November, 1860. The complete newspaper is eight pages, and is uncut. In order to read the entire paper the reader had to fold the paper and flip it back and forth to read all the pages. I don't know if this was done intentionally, or if this was a flawed paper. The entire paper covers the secession movement. The paper is in good condition, showing very minimal damage. The page is slightly yellowed, but all text is perfectly legible. There is no insect damage on the paper. This is a nice example of a pre Civil War news publication from the north.
