WWII Shelter Half

I believe this to be a shelter half from World War II, but as yet have not been able to identify which country used it. It measures 66 1/2" x 66 1/2" and is khaki in color. There are eight holes along three of the edges, seven with zinc grommets and each corner being heavily reinforced with stitching. The one edge that has no grommets still has a stitched reinforced hole, but instead of grommets there are six slits, similar to button holes, that are stitch reinforced. There are also five small wooden toggles sewn onto the canvas, three along one edge, one along a reinforced panel and one to secure the flap of an access point. The opening is 15 1/2" long and the flap to secure the opening is only on one side. There is no stenciling on either side of the material. At some point somebody has used this as a drop cloth for some painting. One edge of the canvas material has white paint drops and smudges all along the it. There is a ragged hole about the size of a baseball by the access point, looks to have been caused by rodents. While it does have a few issues, this one still has some good eye appeal. And if any of you out there can positively identify this please give me a call!
