WWI US 8th Infantry Division Patch

This is a theater made US 8th Division patch from World War I. The patch measures 2 3/8" wide and 3 1/4" high. The patch is constructed entirely of wool material. A white number 8 is sewn over a yellow arrow that is in turn sewn onto a black shield style emblem. The number 8 signifies the 8th Division, while the yellow arrow represents the Pathfinders, the nickname for the division. The patch is then sewn onto a green wool backing. There is no moth damage anywhere on the patch. There are no holes or any other damage on the patch. This 8th Division patch has never been sewn onto a tunic. The overall condition of this WWI 8th Division patch is very good.
