Early WWII 2nd Cavalry Division Felt Patch

This is an US 2nd Cavalry Division patch from World War II. The patch measures 3 1/16" wide and 4 1/2" high. The patch is a yellow Norman shield with two eight point stars above a blue chevron. The three piece patch is made of all felt material and machine sewn. There is one spot of moth damage on the patch at the very bottom. The 2nd Cavalry Division was constituted on 20 August, 1921 as a result of lessons learned from World War I. The division was active during 1940 to 1942, deactived and reactivated from 1943 to 1944. The overall condition of this WWII 2nd Cavalry Division patch is very good.
