WWII US Tenth Army Patch

This is a US Tenth Army patch from the World War II period. The patch measures 2 1/2" at the widest point and 2" at the highest point. The patch is an hour glass shape with two white triangle shapes in the upper and lower quadrants of the red X shape. The shape of the patch, a red X, represent the numerical designation of the army. Army level. The colors of the patch, red and white, represent distinguishing flags for Armies. The Tenth Army was activated on 20 June, 1944. The Tenth Army, commanded initially by LTG Simon Bolivar Buckner, was credited with the Okinawa campaign. The one piece patch is all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on the patch. This patch has never been on a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
