WWII US Fifteenth Army Patch

This is a US Fifteenth Army patch from the World War II period. The patch measures 2 3/4" at the widest point and 2 3/4" at the highest point. The patch is a hexagon shape with a red and white letter A in the center. The colors of the patch, red and white, represent distinguishing flags for Armies. The Fifteenth Army was activated on 21 August, 1944 at Ft Sam Houston, Texas. The 15th Army saw very little combat, did did receive credit for the Rhineland Campaign. The one piece patch is all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on the patch. This patch has never been on a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
