WWII US Sixth Army Group Patch

This is a US Sixth Army Group patch from the World War II period. The patch measures 2 3/16" at the widest point and 2 3/16" at the highest point. The patch is a square shape with a red background and a six white interlocking lines in the center. The colors of the patch, red and white, represent distinguishing flags for Armies. The Sixth Army Group was activated on 29 July, 1944 at Corsica, France. The Sixth Army Group was made up of the 7th United States Army and French Army B. It's only commander was Lieutenant General Jacob Devers, and the group participated in Operation Nordwind, the closing of the Colmar pocket and operations in Germany. The one piece patch is all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on the patch. This patch has never been on a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
