WWII US Twelfth Army Group Patch

This is a US Twelfth Army Group patch from the World War II period. The patch measures 2" at the widest point and 2 1/2" at the highest point. The patch is an arrowhead shape pointed downwards with a red, white and blue background and a black border. The colors of the patch, red, white and blue represent the national colors. The Twelfth Army Group was activated on 14 July, 1944 with it's headquarters in London. The Twelfth Army Group was made up of 39 Infantry and Airborne Divisions and 15 Armored Divisions. It was the largest and most powerful command ever organized in US military history. It's only commander was Lieutenant General Omar Bradley, and the group participated in operations in the European theater of operations after the Normandy landings. The one piece patch is all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on the patch. This patch has never been on a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
