WWII US Second Corps Patch

This is a set of US Second Corps patches from the World War II period. The patches measure 3" wide and 2" in height. The patch is rectangular in shape with a white Roman numeral II in the center, flanked by an eagle on the left and a rampant lion on the right on a blue background. Both of the patches have a white border. The US First Corps was first organized on 24 February, 1918. It deactivated on 1 February, 1919. The US First Corps was reactivated on 1 August, 1940 at Ft. Jay, New York as a fully functioning combat unit. Notable commanders of the Second Corps were Major General Mark Clark. Major General Lloyd Fredendall, Major General George S. Patton and Major General Omar Bradley. It operated in the European Theater of Operations, and received campaign streamers for Algeria French Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Anzio and Rome Arno. The one piece patch is all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on either of the patches. Neither of the patches has ever been on a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
