WWII US Seventh Corps Patch Second Pattern

This is a set of US Seventh Corps patches from the World War II period. The patches are the second pattern and measures 2 3/4" in diameter. The patches are round in shape, having a seven point red star in the center of a green background with the Roman numeral VII in blue and white in the center of the star. The US Seventh Corps was first activated on 19 August, 1918 in Remiremont, France. It was deactivated on 11 July, 1919. During the period between WWI and WWII the Seventh Corps was relegated to the reserve system. The US Seventh Corps was fully activated in the Regular Army on 25 November, 1940 at Ft McClellan, Alabama. It operated in the European Theater of Operations, and received campaign streamers for the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, the Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe campaigns. These one piece patches are all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on either patch. The darker colored patch has been removed from a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
