Korean War Era US Model 1910 Canteen Carrier

This is a US Model 1910 canteen carrier from the Korean War era. This cotton duck cover is an OD #7 color. The carrier is in very good condition and shows moderate wear. All stitching is strong and shows no fraying. The US ink stamp on the front of the carrier is no longer visible. There is a makers stamp barely visible on the rear of the carrier near the bottom. It is no longer legible, but is in the format of that used under the 1951 contract period. A laundry number is stenciled on the bottom of the carrier, I can't make out the letter but the last four is 5603. This model canteen carrier saw service in WWI, WWII, Korea, and the early part of the Vietnam war. Nice little piece for the beginning collector.
