1901 Memphis UCV Parade Flag
Item #: WR141
This is a parade flag from the 1901 United Confederate Veterans Reunion held in Memphis, Tn. The flag measures 5 1/2" by 6 1/2". The edges of the flag are ever so slightly frayed. It looks as though it was cut, but never finished. The little white border representing the heading of the flag has never been attached to a stick, there are no staple holes in it. The colors of the flag are faded, but still very clear. Printed in purple ink along the heading is UCV MEMPHIS 1901. This is the second 1901 Memphis parade flag to come into the shop in a month. While this one doesn't have any identification, like the Colonel Cook flag, it is still a difficult item to find. It remains in very good condition and would look great in a matted frame.
