This is a set of US Navy enlisted dress blues from World War II. The uniform comes with pants and jumper. There is some moth damage on the jumper and one of the buttons is missing from the pants. The blue wool jumper has the rate of a Radioman Third Class on the left sleeve and a ruptured duck sewn on the right breast area. The jumper has three white stripes sewn on each sleeve cuff as well as the collar flap. There are also two stars embroidered on the collar flap. The pants have the 13 button flap in the front and a lacing gusset in the back. The pants have the wide bell bottom pattern at the bottom of the legs. A tag is sewn onto the back side of the front pants pocket that shows the uniform was "Manufactured by the Naval Clothing Factory". There is a line for the sailors name and rate to be inked in. There is a name, it looks to be Sherrill, B.J., written on the name line. I'm sure a little research will discover who this sailor was. Both pieces of the uniform have the same matching Navy blue color, and display well. If you have a US Naval collection this will fit right in.
