This is a brass pin from the 1904 United Confederate Veterans reunion held in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville was the site of the 14th National UCV reunion that was held 14 -16 July, 1904. There were an estimated 25,000 veterans, family members and guests that attended the reunion. This brass pin originally came with a red and white ribbon. The ribbon has been gone for quite some time. The brass badge depicts crossed rifles, insignia of the Infantry branch. Imposed above the crossed rifles are the letters U.C.V. Under the rifles is the year 1904 and the word REUNION. The brass badge measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 1/2" tall. The length of the pin on the back is 1 3/4". These badges would have been worn on hats of Confederate Infantry veterans. While the ribbon is gone, this badge still displays great!
