Civil War Pistol Cartridge Box

This is a pistol cartridge box fro the Civil War era. This box is in mint, unissued condition. The box still has that just manufactured look, with no crazing and only a slight loss of leather on the left side of the box. This cartridge box measures approximately 5 1/4" wide and 4" high. The outer flap of the box is stamped with a makers mark and a script US stamp. The closure tab is not torn and is securely attached to the box, and fits over the brass finial like a glove. The two belt loops are securely attached to the rear of the box. This is an excellent representative piece for a Civil War pistol cartridge box that will enhance any collection.
