This is a gang mold for .44 caliber conical bullets for the Colt Model 1860 revolver. The mold is approximately 12 3/4" long, made of iron with an iron sprue cutter and wooden handles. The mold has six cavities. The iron mold still has some brightness to it, with scattered age spots. There are the normal small nicks and dings, but the cavities are perfectly shaped. The iron sprue cutter pivots away from the mold, and operates perfectly. The turned walnut handles are securely attached to the mold it. The mold opens and closes freely. There are several stamps on the metal, each handle having a G stamped forward of the wood grips. The right side mold has 44H stamped just behind the pivot point. The letter D is also stamped on the left handle on the bottom. This is a difficult piece to find and will really look great displayed with your Colt Model 1860 Army revolver.
