WWII US Rigger Made M1 Carbine Sleeve
Item #: WR281

This is a rigger made canvas sleeve made for the US M1 carbine used during World War II. The cotton duct case measures 39" in length and 7" across the wide part. This case is very similar to the M1 cases that come with a zipper. Instead of a zipper to close the case, this one has two web straps that wrap around and tie off. It has a strap similar to the the case used for M1A1 Paratrooper carbines used to adjust the case to the height of the jumper. The toe of the case has a leather piece sewn in for reinforcement. There are no LTD snaps on the case, or any manufacturers stamps, not even a US. The case is solid, no rips tears or any other damage. I do not believe this was made for Paratrooper use, but it is definitely a WWII era made case for the M1 carbine.
