This is an illustrated page from the article printed by Harper's Weekly listing the last delegation from Alabama in the Congress of the United States. Shown from top left to bottom right are Sydenham Moore, Williamson R. W. Cobb, James L. Pugh, Clement C. Clay, Benjamin Fitzpatrick, Jabez L. M. Curry, James A. Stallworth, David Clopton and George S. Houston. The illustration measures 9 1/2" wide and 12" tall. The one page section of the article is mounted on a piece of cardboard and is protected by shrink wrap. This one page from the Harper's Weekly looks just the way it did when it was printed years ago. There are no smudges, stains, rips, tears, creases or folds on the page. The black and white illustration shows the last Alabama representatives to the US Congress before the state succeeded from the Union. If you collect early American political or legal documents this piece will fit right in!
