This is a .45 caliber ammunition pouch manufactured by the Franklin Manufacturing Company, Inc. for use during the Korean War. These cotton duck pouches were designed to carry two spare magazines for the M1911A1 automatic pistol during the Korean War. This one is in issued condition and shows minimal wear. There is no staining or any other damage. The singl lift the dot snap retains about 50% of the blacking. All the stitching remains solid throughout. The ink stamp on the back of the pouch is very legible. It reads POCKET, MAGAZINE,/DOUBLE WEB, E.M., M-1923/STOCK NO. 74-P-168/FRANKLIN MFG. CO. INC./CONT. NoO. QM. 23019 01 7786/DATE 2 JAN. 1952. This will make a great addition to any US Korean War web gear display or collection.
