Vietnam Era US Model 1910 Canteen Carrier

This is a canteen cover for the US Model 1910 canteen, in use with the US military from WWI all the way into the early days of Vietnam. This cover has seen plenty of use and is pretty well worn. The cotton duct canvas has faded to almost a khaki color from it's original #7 olive drab. All the blacking is missing from the LTD snaps and the 1910 style wire bail used to attach the cover to a pistol belt. Interestingly enough, the hook is made of brass, not used since World War I. The insulating material inside the cover is in very good condition. There is a rip in the material on the right side cover strap. The US stamp on the front is faded, but still very legible. The ink stamp on the back is also faded, but reads"COVER,CANTEEN,DISMOUNTED,M1910/FED.STOCK NO. 7350-379-2602/COLLETTE MFG. CO./1957. It's not as pretty as some of the others, but it will still get the job done for your WWII through Vietnam era reenactor.
