This book was written by Douglas Botting and the editors of Time-Life Books, published in 1980, the narrative is 165 pages and is illustrated with black and white photos, drawings and colored paintings. The U-Boats is one of twenty two volumes in the Time Life Books series, The Seafarers. This series of books celebrates the spirit of maritime adventure, from ancient times to the twentieth century. This volume describes German submarine operations, and the Allied response to them, in the First and Second World Wars. The key German commanders involved in the U-Boat operations are also profiled. This hard back book is in good condition, has no dust jacket and never did.
