This is a pair of US Army boots made by the International Shoe Company during the World War II. They are made of cordovan brown leather and are a size 7 1/2 D. These boots were issued and show honest wear, yet remain in very good condition. There is some moderate wear on the soles and heels of the boots. The black stamps on the inside of the boot are partially legible, the smaller print not so much due to the wear. The stamps are the same in each boot and read, MARCH 5, 1943/71/2 D 457 16/International Shoe Co/ the following three lines are small print and are not legible. A laundry number of M-7218 is also written inside each boot. The overall appearance of the boots is good. These boots have 12 eyelets and both have nylon khaki laces. Each sole is stamped US ARMY/HM and the size 7 1/2. The heels have a round stamp that is pretty well worn, but enough remains to make out the Goodyear logo. The leather remains very supple and smooth. This pair of paratrooper boots just needs a good cleaning and they'll most likely shine right back up. If you have a US WWII paratrooper collection these would really look good in it!
