WWII Sterling Silver Expert Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar & M-14 Bar

This is a Sterling silver US Army expert qualification badge with rifle and M-14 qualification bars. The badge is the pinback variety, and is back marked STERLING GI. The badge is in very good condition, with the pin being present. The rifle bar is also back marked STERLING GI, and shares the same patina as the badge. The M-14 bar has no back mark, and has a different patina than the rest of the badge. Either this qualification badge was worn by a soldier who made a career of the military, or someone just the bars on the badge. Not sure which, but this is the way it came and I'm going to leave it alone.
