This is an OG 107 Class 1 utility shirt from the Vietnam era. The OG 107 was the basic work uniform for all branches of the United States military from 1952 until 1989. The material used for the OG 107 was cotton, such as this example. The Marine Corps began using this uniform in 1962, and continued on with it until the BDU's were introduced in 1981. This utility shirt has the straight top pockets with pointed flap and adjustable cuff size. There is no evidence of this blouse ever having a patch on either sleeve. The collar shows no shadows of sewn on rank either. There are no shadows of a name tag or a US Army tape. There are a couple of small holes in the back of the jacket. The tag sewn into the neck shows the size of 15 1/2 x 31. Inked into the collar above size tag are R.A.CROWE. The instruction label is still present as well and is 100% intact and very legible. It shows the shirt was manufactured by U & W Industries , Inc. in 1970. The eagle. globe and anchor and USMC are still very legible on the left pocket. This utility shirt would work perfect for a Vietnam period USMC display!
