This is a war department field manual, FM 21-100, a soldier's handbook dated 23 July, 1941. This manual includes change 1 dated 4 may, 1942. The field manual is 240 pages and is illustrated with drawings and black and white photos pertaining to insignia, arms and equipment, drill and ceremony, the manual of arms, weapons familiarization, formations, field craft and navigation to name a few. Mounted and dismounted troops are covered in the manual. The pocket sized manual measures 4 1/4" wide and 7" tall. They were issued to all soldiers in the US Army. The booklet is is good condition, but shows wear from actual use. This is a great item to put with a footlocker display.
