WWII Japanese Type 90 Canteen Cold Weather Carrier

This is a cold weather carrier for a Japanese Type 94 canteen used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. This heavily insulated canteen cover was a product of the cold weather conditions the Japanese Army encountered during their fighting in Manchuria. The olive cotton carrier is fur lined to prevent the contents of the Type 94 canteen from freezing. This one is in near mint condition and does not appear to have been issued. It is free of stains, rips, tears or any other kind of damage. All stitching remains tight and unbroken, and all the twill ties are still present. The cap cover remains securely attached as well. There is kanji ink stamped on the inside of the cap cover, but all I know how to read is the date of 1942! If you have a Japanese WWII collection, you probably don't have one of these in it!
