WWII US Silver Star Presentation Box

This is a World War II presentation case for the Silver Star medal issued to all branches of the US military for valor in combat. The box measures 6 5/8" long and 3 5/8" wide. The "coffin box" style box is dark blue in color with gold two line lettering that reads SILVER STAR/MEDAL. A two line gold border design is on the cover of the box. The box was designed to present a full size Silver Star medal, ribbon and miniature Silver Star tie tack to a soldier who had performed bravely in battle. This presentation case is in good condition, showing only a few light scuffs on the front of the case. If you have a loose medal that needs a case, here you go!
