This is a Leather frog used by the Imperial Japanese Army for the Type 30 bayonet scabbard during World War II. This one is a double loop, three piece leather construction, with a large brass buckle, retaining strap and two rivets. It is one of the more common types encountered. The frog shows wear from actual use, but remains in very good condition. All of the stitching remains strong and unbroken. The retaining strap is unbroken and still very pliable. This one will make a nice addition to any WWII Japanese collection.
