This book was written by Herman D. Louser & Joseph D. Smith, published in 1919 by The Courier Press of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania the narrative is 98 pages and is illustrated with black and white photos and drawings. This soft back book is an account and record of the 840th Aero Squadron. It includes a roster of officers and enlisted men, a section on sports, music and bombers. One complete chapter is dedicated to the 840th's Independence Day celebration on July 4th, 1918. The 840th Aero Squadron was a repair squadron that was established on 1 February, 1918. They were in France from 4 May, 1918 through 4 March, 1919. They were part of the 2nd Air Depot located at Latrecey Aerodrome. The unit demobilized in March of 1919. This soft back book is in good condition, sealed in cellophane and will make a great reference source.
