WWII German NSDAP Banner Cut Down to Flag Size

This is an NSDAP banner thtat has been cut down to flag size from the World War II period. This one is a very desirable size, measuring 60" high and 51" wide. It is constructed of a single panel of red wool fabric. A white disc with a black canted swastika is sewn in the center of the red field. This flag is two sided and has a machine stitched edge on three sides and a hand sewn edge on one side. This flag may have been cut down to be used for aircraft recognition on a vehicle. The colors of the flag remain very vibrant, with the red field showing no discoloration or fading. There is no staining on the flag on either side. The white field of the swastika shows no staining on either side. There are no major rips or tears in the banner, but there are small holes scattered all around the swastika. The small amount of damage is all in the red field. These made prized souvenirs for the allied soldiers, and this one most likely made it's way back to the states in some GI's duffel bag after the war. If you have the wall space, this banner still has some nice display power!
