Late War SA Dagger by WMW Solingen, Germany
Item #: WR1335
This is a very nice example of a late war SA Dagger manufactured by Waffenfabrik Max Wayersburg of Solingen, Germany used during World War II. This dagger has some great eye appeal, the blade has a great shine and retains most of the original crossgraining. There are some very light scratches on both sides of the blade. visible under magnification more than the naked eye. The motto "Alles fur Deutschland" is crisply etched on one side of the blade. The opposite side of the blade the round RZM emblem is etched, along with the maker code of M7/12 for WMW of Solingen. The handle features a very nice grip with the original deep brown color, no cracks or chips, just a couple of slight dings on either side. The metal fittings are the correct plated type, and the upper and lower cross guards retain the majority of the original plating, with the upper guard showing more flaking. The eagle and SA roundel some finish loss from use, but are undamaged and look great. This late war dagger comes with it's original scabbard. The scabbard retains almost 100% of the original glossy brown paint. The plated fittings retain nearly all of the plating, with the lower fitting having just a couple of small spots missing. There is one small dent on the upper edge of the scabbard, about an inch below the upper fitting. The suspension ring is still present. The SA dagger is one of the iconic pieces of WWII German memorabilia, and this one is a very nice example.
