This is a badge for a US Army enlisted service cap of the modern day era. It is of a two piece, stamped construction with a gilt finish. The eagle measures 1 1/16" wide and 1 1/4" high, the gold plate disc is 1 1/2" across and the blue plastic disc is 1 7/8" across. It features the Coat of Arms of the United States, an American bald eagle clutching thirteen arrows in the left talon and a laurel branch in the right. A military style shield covers the breast and the eagle has a banner in it's beak that reads E PLURIBUS ENUM. Above the eagle's head is a disc that contains thirteen stars to represent the original thirteen colonies. The badge is attached to the cap by means of a screw back post. The domed disc is back marked KREW-GI and the nut for the post is back marked V-21. This one really stands out on the blue ASU cap of today's Army uniform.
