WWII US Model 1910 Canteen Set

This is a Model 1910 canteen set from World War II. The set consists of a 1945 dated cover manufactured by the Shane Mfr. CO., a 1918 canteen manufactured by L.F.&C. 1918 and a cup dated 1943 manufactured by E.A. Co. The canteen has the vertical seam and a domed serrated cap. The cup is dent free, the canteen has a couple of good sized dents and the cap chain is present. The canteen cover is strong, with no holes or rips. The stitching is strong and tight. There is a considerable sized stain on the carrier. The typical 1910 belt hook has been replaced by a bail I am not familiar with. This was is intended to suspend the canteen from a strap of some kind. The U.S. and makers stamp are very legible on the cover, as well as the stamps in the canteen and cup. Every soldier had one of these, you might as well too!
