59th Annual Reunion Ribbon 8th New York Heavy Artillery Regiment

This is a 59th annual reunion ribbon for the 8th New York Heavy Artillery Regiment. The reunion was held on 22 August, 1923 in Batavia, New York. The ribbon is red with black lettering. It reads 61st Anniversary/Fifty Ninth/ANNUAL REUNION above a black arc with Col. P.A. PORTER in red letters over a 2nd Corps badge. Suspended under the corps badge is a set of crossed cannons with the number 8 superimposed on the cannons and N.Y.H.A. under the cannons. Below that is BATAVIA, N.Y./Wednesday, Aug. 22, 1923. The ribbon displays well, showing no damage or discoloration. The ribbon is in a plastic sleeve that is inside an 8 1/2" x 11" frame with the unit history of the 8th New York Heavy Artillery printed out. This ribbon will look good in an 8th New York or GAR collection.
