This is an pack of five Federal artillery paper time fuses. The original tan colored paper wrapper is in good condition. The packet measures 3" wide, 2" tall and 5/8" deep. The Stamping on the paper has completely faded, to include the instructions. The package is in fairly good condition, but does have a couple of small tears. Normally the bottoms of these packs have holes in the paper due to the fuses pressing against them. This pack is no exception to that problem. The paper is slightly discolored on the bottom, the individual fuse outlines can be seen. The package retains four small cotton tabs that protrude from the package, as well as four fuses. This is a good example of a Civil War Artilleryman's most integral components.
