Bevo Post WWII 7th Army Patch

This is a US Seventh Army patch from the post World War II Germany occupation period. The patch measures 4" at the widest point 2" at the highest point. The patch is a triangle shape with the letter A formed by seven yellow "steps" running up each side. The letter A represents the Army designation, the number of steps the numerical designation. The colors of the patch represent the branches of artillery, armor and infantry. The Seventh Army was activated on 10 July, 1943 while still at sea. The Seventh Army patch was approved on 23 June, 1943. The Seventh Army, commanded initially by LTG George Patton, was credited with the Sicily, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace and Central Europe campaigns. The one piece patch is all machine sewn in the bevo type of weave. There is no moth damage on the patches at all. Both of these patches were removed from a uniform. If you have a patch collection your gonna need one of these to complete it.
