This is a war department field manual, FM 5-34, for engineer field data dated August, 1947. The field manual is 219 pages and is illustrated with different charts and drawing pertaining to assembly areas, explosives, mines, field fortifications, bridging, roads and airfields, construction and miscellaneous engineer data. The pocket sized manual measures 4" wide and 5 3/4" tall. They were issued to all soldiers in an engineer unit. The booklet is is good condition, but shows wear from actual use. This is a must piece for the US Army Engineer collector.
