WWII US Army Thirty Sixth Corps Patch

This is a US Army Thirty Sixth Corps patch from the World War II period. The patch measures 2 7/16" at the widest point and 2 1/4" at the highest point. The patch features a blue trefoil with a six pointed red and white design indicating the corps' numerical designation, with a blue border. The blue and white colors represent the corps level of organization. The US Thirty Sixth Corps was activated on 15 July, 1944 at Fort Riley, Kansas. This corps never deployed overseas, it assumed control of units training first in Texas and Arkansas, then later Oklahoma was added. This one piece patch is all machine sewn. There is no moth damage on the patch and it has have never been on a uniform. If you collect WWII US patches you gotta have one of these.
