This is a reproduction Vietnam War period US Model 67 fragmentation hand grenade. Called the "baseball" grenade, this is probably one of the most iconic grenades of that period. This grenade was introduced to the US military in 1968 and it and variant's of the Model 67 are4 still in use today. These grenades are fragmentation grenades, with a kill radius of 16 feet and a wounding radius of 49 feet. This model grenade utilized the M213 fuze, giving a 4 to 5.5 second delay before detonation. The grenade was filled with 6.5 ounces of Composition B explosive, giving a total weight of 14 ounces. This one piece steel reproduction misses the mark a mile on weight, as this one weighs a good two-three pounds. The bottom of the grenade has been drilled. It is equipped with an unmarked fuze, spoon and safety pin painted the same color of green as the grenade body. This is a REPRODUCTION of a Model 67 grenade and is not intended to be sold as an authentic grenade. This one is probably a good candidate for a static display, I wouldn't want to haul it around all day!
